social media strategy

Objective: to increase exposure (followers, reach and impressions) and engagement (comments, likes and shares) on Facebook and Instagram.

Goal: Post 3-5 times/week on Facebook; 1-4 times/week on Instagram. Keep content somewhat exclusive to each medium. Don’t post the exact same thing to both Facebook and Instagram. If you want to communicate the same message on Facebook and Instagram make sure you can tell your story in multiple ways, using a link on Facebook vs. an image on Instagram relaying the same message. In the same vein, certain campaigns can be promoted on both platforms where you simply share your Instagram post over to Facebook.

Tips + Tools:

●    Create an editorial calendar with a basic idea of what you will be posting that week.
●    Best times to post to Facebook:
1-4 p.m. late into the week and on weekends
●    Best times to post to Instagram:
Instagram audiences are engaged throughout the week. Monday and Thursday at any time other than 3-4 p.m.; Videos any day at 9 p.m. - 8 a.m.; General best times: 8-9 a.m., 2 a.m. and 5 p.m.
●    Schedule your post.
●    Engage your followers by liking and commenting on their post.
●    Use hashtags. #fosterangels #fosterangel #fosterlove #fostercare #adoption #fostertoadopt #beafosterangel #fostersystem #fosterchildren #helpakid #all4kids #nevergiveup #nonprofit #donate #philanthropy #charity #giveback #centraltexas #atx #austin
