As a nod to their 40th anniversary, STG Design wanted a way to showcase their depth and breadth of their work in Austin. It was apparent that many of their clients, consultants and raving fans didn’t know how many pieces of Austin they have touched, inside and out, since their inception in 1976. The goal of the anniversary marketing efforts were to focus on where they were going – “Forty + Forward” – while the Throwback Thursday campaign wanted to highlight where they have been. I dug through the archives of projector slides, decades-old brochures, and digital library materials and #stgdesigntbt was born. For 40 weeks every Thursday from January until October 2016, STG's official anniversary month, I posted some of our most retro, iconic, quirky or award-winning architectural and interior projects on Instagram and Facebook, concluding the week of the anniversary party with a recap of the campaign. 

The target audience was specifically clients or potential clients, in the Austin-area, but also current and potential employees, as well. As a whole, the campaign generated 717 likes on Instagram and 428 likes on Facebook. Ultimately, the campaign played a major part in growing STG's social media followers by 164% on Instagram and 39% on Facebook over a 10-month period and created internal and external dialogue about our history and anniversary.
